Foreclosure Crisis:
In the 2nd quarter of 2006, there were 258 foreclosures in the Bay Area.
In the 2nd quarter of 2007, that number jumped to 2,206 (a 755% increase).
Statewide, in the 2nd quarter of 2006, there were 1,936 foreclosures.
In the 2nd quarter of 2007, that number jumped to 17,408 (an 800% increase).
While numbers like these are frightening, there are resources available to help.
